The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Anita Among yesterday September 3rd 2025 met with a chapter of the National Resistance Movement Diaspora.
During the deliberations, the team from the Diaspora raised concerns about issues affecting them both in their host countries and back home, which they presented to the Speaker for possible solutions.
In response, Speaker Among requested that the team should submit a formal written document outlining their concerns, so that Parliament can consider and address them accordingly.
Rt Hon Among also urged the group to promote a positive image of Uganda, in order to counter negative narratives being spread by individuals with ill intent which she said have adversely impacted the tourism sector.
