NEWS- Two students of Team University Kampala are among the few students who excel in national examinations organized by Uganda Business and Technical examination board for certificate programme.

KALIBBALA Hanifah TIti registration number UBT431/2022/M/C/M 002 and  ABUDISHAKUR Abdirahman registered no UBT431/2022/M/C/M 012 all taking national certificate in building construction scored 1st class certificate (Distinction) the highest score in UBTEB grading.

The University Secretary, Evelyn Hope Kyokunda attributed the good performance to the hard working staff and cooperative students.

“These were our pioneers of Technical certificates, others will also follow the suite we shall be getting bigger number than these, in the years to come,” she said.

The girl who excelled

The Academic registrar, Dr. James Ssegawa said those who excelled with first class certicate will be given half bursary while pursuing their diploma programme.

“We are determined to give incentives to the best students from those on certificate programme to the masters’ level provided you excel very well,” he said.

Dr. Ssegawa said the admissions for August in take are still going on until mid-september.

One of the excelled students, ABUDISHAUR Abdirahman praised Team University for giving them half bursaries to enable them do diploma programme at ease.

He attributed his good performance to the hands-on practical approach at the University which he said was the key to his success.

“Engaging in practical alongside class work deepened my understanding and provided vital real-world skills which am using today,” he said.

 He also commended instructors whom he said   were instrumental in his academic growth.

“The passion and support of instructors created a positive learning environment that motivated me to excel,” he said.

He said the quality of teaching, particularly during practical sessions, was exceptional, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
