NEWS- The Rwenzori East Region Police in Kasese District are holding Five Serial Thieves.
It’s alleged that on 19th Oct 24 Kyakere & Konzo Night Music concerts the five were arrested while stealing car and motorcycle number plates.
SP Nelson Tumushime the Rwenzori East region police spokesperson says the region is still reading normal and calm, the town was thrilled to host two mega shows at Transafrica and Rwenzori Square.
“At CPS Kasese, we have more than 5 suspects arrested on various charged ranging from stealing of phones, common assaults, stealing of money, handbags and other properties yet to be identified and valued. we also registered traffic offenses to wit Inconsiderate use of M/C, this occurred in Kasese Municipality” said Tumushime.
The spokesperson says they also registered a serious accident where a one Bwambale Geoffrey rider of M/C Reg 927E was involved in an accident at Kilembe stage, Kasese Municipality.
Meanwhile he says the Obusinga Bwarwenzururu 58th Anniversary Coronation ceremony is ongoing at Golf Course Club Grounds along Kilembe Rd, with security personnel deployed to ensure safety of guests at the venue.
He also noted that Counter Terrorism Police will man all the Access Point at the Venue.
