KAMPALA- The Executive Secretary of Uganda Business and Technical Examination Board Onesimus Oyesigye has issued a stern warning to the Heads Examination Centers and candidates sitting for the July/August 2024 assessment and examinations against any form of malpractice.
This strong warning was contained in a Press Release dated August 5th 2024 and signed by the Principal Communications and Public Relations Officer Kambaho Narasi Anyijuka who noted that despite the warning the examinations had registered a smooth start at all Examination Centres across the country.
Kambaho Anyijuka noted that UBTEB Assesment and Examinations that started yesterday August 5th 2024, are being conducted at 454 Centers where a total of 58,995 registered candidates will be assessed in various disciplines and out of these 18,742 are female whole 40,253 are male.
“We are glad to have registered a smooth start of examinations at all Centers across the country and we thank the Security Personnel especially the Uganda Police for providing secure storage and delivery of all examinations” The Executive Secretary Oyesigye is reported to have stated.
Oyesigye said that most of the candidates were sitting for National Certificate in technical programs like National Programs in Wood Technology, Building Construction, Plumbing, Welding and Fabrication, Electricity Installation and Information Technology among others.
He however, made a categorical warning to all stakeholders to observe rules on the conduct of examinations and avoid any form of malpractice saying that it’s the duty of the Heads of Centers and even candidates to avoid and form of malpractice.
