Uganda Communications Commission Executive Director Nyombi Thembo, accompanied by a team of technical staff from the commission, met with Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba to discuss enhanced security measures for the nation’s communications infrastructure.
The meeting at the Speacial Forces Command headquarters in Entebbe focused on Uganda Communications Commission operational strategies to ensure a secure communications environment for all Ugandans.
Nyombi Thembo together with his technical team, briefed the Chief of Defence Forces who is also the Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations on current initiatives and potential collaborations between the regulatory body and security agencies.
The Uganda Communications Commission delegation included specialists from various technical departments, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the discussions which covered telecommunications, data communications, broadcasting, and infrastructure security.
The Uganda Communications commission serves as Uganda’s integrated regulatory body overseeing multiple sectors including Postal Communication, Radio Communication, and licensing of cinematography operations.
