Uganda Prisons Service has renovated Nyakishenyi Health Centre III in Rubabo Sub-county, Rukungiri District, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, in support of activities marking the 45th anniversary of Tarehe Sita.
The work was done in partnership with the @MODVA_UPDF and other sister security agencies. The facility was handed over in a ceremony attended by senior army and prisons officers, local leaders and the community.
The Minister of State for Defence and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Huda Abason Oleru, praised the Prisons Service for strong cooperation and service to the people.

On behalf of the Commissioner General of Prisons, Commissioner of Prisons Gervase Tumuhimbise said the project was expanded after assessment and included repairs, drainage works and access paving.
He added that the work was well executed by the Prisons Engineering Gang. Maj Gen Dr Ambrose Musinguzi said the renovation will improve health services and urged leaders and staff to maintain the facility.
The health centre in-charge, Dr Katusiime Hannibal, thanked the Uganda Prisons Service and praised the engineers for their discipline and good conduct.
