NEWS– The territorial traffic Police in Mpigi on Wednesday April 17, 2024 night at around 11:40 pm registered a fatal crash in Kamengo at Kasuule Ayanguwa swamp along Masaka-kampala highway.
The crash according to the Police traffic Directorate department involved two M/Vs UAL 605 U Mitsubishi Fuso & UBH 247L Subaru Forester.
The preliminary report indicates that the said motor vehicles were traveling in opposite directions before being involved in a head on collision.
The traffic Police told the press that motor vehicle UAL 695U Mitsubishi Fuso was from Kampala headed towards Masaka side, while at Kasuule Ayanguwa Swamp in Kamengo along Masaka-Kampala highway Collided with motor vehicle UBH 247L Subaru Forester which was from Masaka to Kampala.
The crash led to the instant killing of 3 occupants in a Subaru Forester who included the driver & critically injured 1 other passenger in the same car.
The victim was rushed to Double cure in Mpigi for medical attention as bodies were conveyed to Gombe hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
Furthermore, the Police traffic department told this reporter that both motor vehicles towed to Kamengo police station pending inspection.
