NEWS- The Police in Kabale are investigating the mysterious death of Arthur Nsenga whose body was this morning discovered in Kakabano Ahakyesherero in Upper Bugongi Northern division Kabale Municipality.
The late Nsenga, a cobbler in his 40s, operated his trade near Ebenezar Christian School a few meters to St Luke Bugongi Catholic Church and the deceased was an uncle to Sheikh Kassim Kamugisha, the Wakiso Deputy Resident District Commissioner.
Sheikh Kamugisha regretted the incident describing his now deceased uncle as a humble, down to earth man, who loved his job as remembered him as a great pillar in promoting family unity and socialization.
Kamugisha however expressed concern over increased criminality and violence in Kabale Municipality and asked the security agencies to investigate the cause to a logical conclusion.
The death of Nsenga was reported by Byaruhanga Phillip a resident of Pida cell in Upper Bugongi, Northern Division in Kabale Municipality in Kabale district.
Byaruhanga realized that had blood oozing from his mouth and nose and he informed the LC 1 Area Chairman who immediately reported the matter to Kabale Central Police Station for investigations.
The scene was visited by a team of Police Officers from Kabale Central Police Station who introduced the K-9 dog was introduced to the scene but didn’t succeed due to the rainy weather.
The scene was processed, examined and documented and the body was retrieved from the crime scene and taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination and the Police have since asked anyone with information that can help lead to the perpetrators, should volunteer it so that the culprits are arrested.
In a related development, the Police in Kabale are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified male adult, whose body was discovered floating in the river at Mushenyi “A” village in Bigaga Parish in Butanda Sub-county.
This was also confirmed Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate who said that it is alleged that the area Chairman of Mishenyi “A Baburata Edison received information that there was a dead body floating on the water of the small river in his area.
Chairman Baburata is reported to have gone to the scene together with other local residents and indeed they found the body of an unidentified person in the area in the waters and the Chairman reported the matter to Butanda Police Station for the necessary help.
Upon receiving the information, a case file of suspected murder was opened and the homicide team under the command of Detective Barijunaki Samuel visited the scene of crime and documented it and the body was retrieved from the scene, taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination and statements recorded from the first respondents.
Maate said that no arrest have been made so far and investigations are ongoing and the Police has urged anyone with a missing person should visit the Hospital Mortuary, so that is identified and taken for a decent burial.
Meanwhile the Police in Kabale District have registered a sudden death incident of a man only known as Rasta, who suddenly died in Kigongi “A” cell in Central Division in Kabale Municipality.
It’s alleged that today Asiimwe Ashim received information from Yiga Hussein that one Rasta whom he was residing with had died from inside the house while on bed sleeping.
Asiimwe rushed to the scene and indeed he found the body of Rasta on the bed and the deceased had first vomited before dying and they suspected that Rasta died because of over boozing without eating and they reported the matter to Police for the necessary help.
Upon receiving the information, a case file of sudden death was opened, the scene was visited and documented, his body was retrieved from the scene and taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed that nvestigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death and anyone who could be linked to the deceased should come out and give his full particulars and take the body for a decent burial.
