Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has promised micro and mega irrigation schemes for coffee farmers in Bukomansimbi District to enhance their farm yields.
President Museveni noted that the planned irrigation is already benchmarked on the Presidential Banana Development Initiative in Bushenyi District and it will be replicated in Bukomansi District moving forward to other districts.
President Museveni said this yesterday December 22nd while campaigning at a rally at Mirembe Muslim Primary School Play Grounds in Bukomansimbi District in Greater Masaka Sub-region.
The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Museveni who was accompanied by top party officials, said that he is committed to fast track the increase of government primary and secondary schools in Bukomansimbi District beyond the currently existing 22 government primary schools and 7 government secondary schools and advised the people to avoid misconstruing development for direct translation for wealth creation.
Candidate Museveni noted that wealth being personal and development being general, people should focus on the individual wellbeing regardless of the level of development in the reas as government fasttracks general development comes with and challenged the people of Bukomansimbi, especially the youths to concentrate on building wealth in their villages and stop unguided rural to urban migration.
He cited several success stories of serious farmers in Bukomansi District who are making a fortune worth billion of shillings from agricultural enterprises guided by the NRM government manifesto and promised additional funding for welath creation interventions to grant more capital through the revolving funds like the Parish Development Model, Youth Livelihood Program, Women Empowerment Fund among others.
President Museveni therefore confirmed plans to tarmac a number roads in Bukomansimbi District that include Ssembabule – Mateete- Mbirizi road, Mateete – Kibinge – Kyabakuza road, Villa Maria – Kyamulibwa – Kabulasoke road among others and noted that the road infrastructural development plans for the District are guided by the prioritization strategy of the NRM government that majors in majors and vice versa because the NRM government has ushered in unprecedented peaceful period for the last 40 years with unmatched development.
He said that the NRM politics of unity and cohesion has laid foundation for national institution building and prosperity and asked the people of Bukomansimbi not to gamble with Uganda peace and stability and urged them to re-elect him and all NRM flag bearers for another term of peace, development and socioeconomic transformation as we make a qualitative leap into the higher middle income status country.
President Museveni then guided the people of Bukomansimbi District on viable wealth creation enterprises and the application of the 4 acre model initiative.
