The Police in Kabale District have arrested two suspects alleged murder of a 36 yrs old man identified Niwamanya Bedarn a resident of Murambo Cell Kitojo Ward in Bubare Town Council Rubanda District.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate identified the suspects as Mutahunga Sophan and Byamugisha Lauben and it’s alleged that the incident took place today early morning at Kigongi A Cell, Kigongi Ward, Central Division, Kabale Municipality, in Kabale District.
It is alleged that Niwamanya was killed by Mutahunga and others who are still at large when the deceased was selling black tea and mira also nkown Mairungi opposite Mannhattan Hotel in Kigongi and that and his security guard arrested him on allegation that he had stolen his property and they took him to Kigongi opposite TikTok bar where they were joined by others and lynched him.
It is reported that after killing him, they put him in the vehicle Registration Number UBC 505D Toyota Harrier White in color belonging to the suspect Mutahunga and drove the body to Makanga Cell where they dumped it.
Maate told journalists that the two scenes of crime were visited, processed and documented and the suspects were arrested, the motor vehicle alleged to have been used to carry the deceased to Makanga cell was recovered for investigations
