The Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkizi Rt Rev Dan Zoreka has implored students to walk in the path of rightfulness and trust in Almighty God in order to have a bright future
The Bishop made the remarks while delivering a powerful sermon at a function that was organised by Nyakinoni Senior Secondary School Chinese Campus in Nyakinoni Sub-county in Kanungu District.
Bishop Zoreka who was accompanied by his wife Maama Florence Zoreka asked the students to look beyond what they have achieved so far, concentrate on their studies and make right choices in order to have a bright future.
He drew an inspiration from his own upbringing where he endured hardships but prayed to God to become what he is today saying that current challenges should not divert them from attaining their rightful goals.
The Bishop hailed the Headteacher of Nyakinoni Senior Secondary School Dan Byabashaija and other school management and other stakeholders for their resilience in maintaining high academic performance standards coupled with discipline which has enabled the school to excel in different fields of career development and co-curricula activities.

Nyakinoni Senior Secondary school Headteacher Dan Byabashaija said that the school student population has risen to 1,387 which has created challenges for more infrastructural development like classrooms, dormitories and teachers accommodation so that they can provide a holistic education to the students.
The event led by Nyakinoni Archdeacon Ven Patrick Habasa was graced by a number of Clergy, the Chairperson Board of Governors, Canon Sunday Charles, District Education Officer Shaban Adam, former Education Officer Goddie Willy Bakiga, Headteachers from nearby Secondary and Primary schools and other government officials.
Meanwhile, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkizi Rt Rev Dan Zoreka and Maama Florah Zoreka yesterday blessed the Primary Seven pupils of Kigezi Education Centre in Kihihi Town Council in Kanungu District.
The ceremony took place at the school premises and Bishop Zoreka told the pupils that the beginning of wisdom starts with the fear of God and urged them to remain focused for the better future.
Bishop Zoreka thanked the Director of Kigezi Education Centre Shaban Adam for inviting him to pray for the P.7 candidates and pledged to always have a good partnership with the school even in his retirement.
Shaban Adam who is also the Kanungu District Education Officer thanked Bishop Zoreka and his wife Maama Florah for the commitment and having accepted the invitation to a Muslim founded school and made it categorically clear that the school doesn’t segregate the religions, but focus on the academic excellence.
Shaban Adam thanked the parents who accepted to enrol their children in the school but asked them to always pay attention to them while they are at home by 8nvolving them in household skills.
The event was also attended by Kanungu District Inspector of schools Tuyishime Erasmus who also thanked Shaban Adam for being good example of leadership in Kanungu District education department management.
