NEWS- The Ntungamo RDC Byarugaba Isaiah Kanyamahaane has challenged Ugandans to have zeal of saving culture for rapid economic growth in the communities.
RDC Kanyamahaane stressed that some Sacco members have a tendency of spending money on luxury ventures before saving.
He made remarks at today’s annual general meeting for Ntungamo Development Sacco held at Embassy Tours Ntungamo Municipality.
Kanyamahaane hailed the leadership of Ntungamo Development Sacco for supporting government efforts of eradicating poverty at household level.
Ntungamo District Commercial Officer Seth Niwagaba advised members to increase your shares saying that shares are strong pillars for the sustainable development of Saccos. He equated shares as factors of production such as land which needs urgent attention.

The supervisor of SACCOs in Western Uganda Benon Musinguzi has commended Ntungamo Development Sacco for prioritising accountability and transparency as one of the core principles for Sacco’s growth in the country.
He noted that due to the able leadership of the Sacco has enabled it to accumulate wealth and perform well in the district.
The chairman board Namanya Joshua said that the membership increased after recruiting new members into the Sacco.
He warned guarantors to always scrutinize loan forms, terms and principal borrower’s financial status before signing for them saying that it’s the responsibility of the guarantor to compel the principal borrower to adhere to the loan agreement.
The Manager Ntungamo Development Sacco Agaba Boaz thanked the board members, staff and members for the unity and love they have for the institution stressing that Ntungamo Development Sacco is developing at terrific speed to become a bank.
Agaba Boaz revealed that the Sacco managed to install Msacco to help members to deposit, repay loans and withdraw savings without coming to the Sacco.
He implored all members to mobilise for more members to join the Sacco for greater heights.
