RUBANDA- In a spirit of devotion and community service, Jacqueline Katabazi, the aspirant Woman MP for Rubanda District, has donated a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Most Holy Rosary to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Kakore Rugambwa Parish.
The donation was met with widespread jubilation as thousands of Christians gathered to receive the statue. Hamurwa Sub-county and Town Council Female Councilor, Mary Bebwajuba, presented the statue on behalf of Jacqueline Katabazi.
The ceremony also recognized the contributions of Dr. William Bangana and his wife, who constructed a marian Grotto at Kakore Rugambwa Parish. Mary Bebwajuba acknowledged Jacqueline Katabazi’s ongoing support for the parish, including her donation of machines for making blocks in constructing a commercial house and UGX 1 million during the launch of the construction.
Dr. William Bangana and his wife shared their inspiration for building the Marian Grotto, citing their 25th wedding anniversary and a desire to honor the Virgin Mary.
