The station manager of Radio Ankole 99.3 FM, Mr. Elly Katahinga, has assured residents that security will be tight for all attendees coming to the celebrations of Ekijumero kya Radio Ankole, the second edition dubbed “Rubarurantojo.”

The event is taking place today, 4th July, at Kyamate Play Grounds in Ntungamo Municipality. Mr. Katahinga rallies political leaders, religious leaders, the business community, and residents of Ntungamo District as well as the neighboring districts to turn up and enjoy the festivities.

According to Mr. Katahinga, Radio Ankole 99.3 FM—described as the first private radio station in Ntungamo District—was established to promote unity, peace, reliable information, and cooperation among the people of Ntungamo and the greater Ankole region.

Station directors Hon. Mwesigwa Rukutana and Bob Kabonero pledged full support to the organizing team led by Immaculate Kyomukama, popularly known as Mama Kijumeero, to ensure the event becomes another memorable milestone for the Ankole region.

Mr. Katahinga also revealed that Gen. Kahinda Otafiire, the Minister of Water and Environment, is expected to officiate as chief guest. He further thanked the station’s business partners and loyal listeners for their continued support.

Entertainment & Tickets

This year’s Ekijumero will feature performances from some of Uganda’s top musicians and entertainers including Alien Skin, Mesearch Ssemakula, Fik Fameica, T Paul, Truth 256, Medotex Americana, Korole Kasiita among many others.

Entrance fees have been set as follows: UGX 10,000 — Ordinary ticket, UGX 20,000 — VIP ticket, UGX 500,000 — VIP table, UGX 1,000,000 — Platinum table

There will also be a raffle draw where guests will enter with UGX 2,000, with a chance to win a brand-new motorcycle on the event day.

Meanwhile, the station’s accountant and event coordinator, Immaculate Kyomukama (Mama Kijumeero), commended all organizing committees and partners for their teamwork, saying their efforts are helping write a new chapter in the history of Ekijumero kya Radio Ankole Rubarurantojo.
