KASESE- Parish Development Model (PDM) committee leaders in Kasese District have been asked to be transparent and faithful while implementing the program.
The advice was made today by the district chief administrative officer Mr. Elius Byamungu while addressing PDM committees at Kasese Youth Polytechnic in Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality.
The meeting which was aiming at equipping the committees on how based to handle the program.
According to Byamungu, the program which aims to move households from subsistence production to the money economy within five years also has a goal to increase household incomes and improve quality of life.
The Kasese District Commercial officer Mr. Simon Kasereka who warned the PDM implementers against bribes, also encouraged them to follow the president’s directive of benefiting the exact people to why the program was initiated.
He advised them to always lecture beneficiaries to stick on enterprises which would benefit them without making losses.
Mr. Julius Baluku the District Production officer lectured the PDM leaders to serve with transparency and faithfulness if the program is to fully benefit the community.
