The Police in Kabale District are investigating circumstances under which Silvester Byaruhanga mysteriously died after he tried to cut an electric wire that was hanging along the road.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate said that an incident took place today morning at Bugongi Road Cell in Lower Bugongi Ward in Northern Division of Kabale Municipality.
It is reported that Byaruhanga was moving along the road, when he came across the hanging wire and he opted to cut it to take it away, and in the process he was electrocuted and died instantly.
Maate explained that the Police was notified by the neighbor identified as Collins and derectives immediately visited the scene of the accident, processed and documented it.
The body was retrieved from the scene and conveyed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination awaiting to be handed over to the relatives for burial as investigations continue.
