Rebecca Aritwala Kadaga the Kamuli District Woman representative in Parliament seeking re-election has pledged to lobby for an international airport in Jinja to boost trade and Tourism in Eastern Uganda.

Kadaga made a pronouncement on the 30-year stalled road project of Jinja, Iringo-Mbulamuti via Nankandulo to Kamuli, she stated that this is one of the projects she is coming to complete

Kadaga said the NRM government initiated the ferry programme which is not yet operational, as her voice is vital to remind the government about the same while in Parliament

She further hinted at the Nuclear plant in Buyende where a school is to be put in place to train locals in Nuclear expertise,
to arrange compensation plans and implement environmental measures to protect people from the dangers that may result in the nuclear extraction

In a related development, Kadaga told the media about her CEC bid, she is the current 2nd NRM Vice Chairperson female seeking re-election.

‘I was among those who lobbied for this slot since the CEC body was dominated by male counterparts’ Kadaga Said

She stated that her presence in CEC has seen fruits such as the Parish Development Model, UWEPO, Children’s Schools, road fund among others thus calls on delegates to vote for her in again for continued results and effective service delivery

Kadaga made these pronouncements during the nomination process for the Kamuli District Woman representative seat recently in Kampala
