Kanungu District Chairman Eng Sam Arinaitwe Kajojo has assured the people of Kanungu that the government is committed to ensure that the infrastructure like roads and bridges are worked on to ease transport for the people.
Eng Arinaitwe Kajojo made the remarks on Tuesday while at the ground breaking of the construction of Katete – Kanyantorogo bridge in Kimanyu where the two Sub-counties border.
The event was attended by several Kanungu District Local Government Officials who included the Deputy Resident District Commissioner Gad Ahimbisibwe Rugaju and representatives from the Chief Administrative Officer office and leaders from both Kanyantorogo Katete Sub Counties.
Chairman Arinaitwe Kajojo noted that when the bridge is completed, it will ease the transportation of goods and services and people easier instead of making a longer route through Kihihi Town.
