NEWS- Parishioners of St Paul Kazo Catholic parish in Kazo Town council in Kazo district have appealed to the leaders of this religion in Mbarara Archdiocese to quickly transfer their Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Deo Mugisha whom they accuse of engaging in evil behaviors ranging from sleeping with married women within the parish, failure to give accountability and stealing Parish properties.
Reliable sources intimated to our reporter that Fr. Deo Mugisha recently transferred the Parish nurse into their (priest’s) residence as well as other Married women who have been secretly coming and going in, something that has left Christians Wondering.
According to Christians, the Parish priest together with other Church leaders introduced a timeline of how to pay a Loan acquired from ISSIA SACCO to help in constructing their church from which Fr Deo started using the collected funds in fulfilling his interests, giving fake and forged accountability.
Christians confirmed to this reporter that every family was instructed to pay about Ugx. 100,000 to settle the loan received from the SACCO and as of now nobody knows the amount collected and the loan balance.
In some incidents where they received Ugx. 550,000, the man of God would allegedly change the figures to Ugx. 200,000 or less, something that has shown different figures in the Parish records.
Rev. Fr. Deo Mugisha is also suspected to have secretly sneaked into the Parish Council Chairperson’s office and extracted a print out of some evidence collected against him, through Parish Council meetings and other possible means.
Parishioners further allege that Rev. Fr. Deo Mugisha recently was caught with the property belonging to the Parish (Timber, Tree Logs, Iron sheets) as many of other parish properties have been sold off.
