KAMPALA– Celebrated musician Edrisah Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo has been appointed the Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives by His Excellence Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of Uganda.

Kenzo, the president and founder of Uganda National Musicians Federation steps in for the advisory role in a move that is aimed to bolster the music and performing arts industry in the country.

The news of his appointment for the big role came in on Wednesday night at around 10:30 pm, and a post from the musician’s wife, Phionah Nyamutoro confirmed the appointment with a congratulatory message.

“Congratulations on your well-deserved appointment @eddykenzoficial, proud of you as always ❤️,” Nyamutoro, who is also State Minister for Minerals wrote on the night. “Thank you H.E @KagutaMuseveni

🙏,” she added.

Kenzo, the founder and CEO of Big Talent Entertainment is an ardent and outspoken of the ruling NRM government and it is no doubt that the President has rewarded him with such a position, now that he is a husband to one of his ministers.

Kenzo’s music journey began in 2008 when he released his first song titled “Yannimba” with Mikie Wine. However, his breakthrough came with the release of his single Stamina. The Masaka-born musician backed up Stamina with “Sitya Loss” in 2014, a viral song which received international attention.
