KAMWENGE– Kyabenda Senior Secondary School in Kamwenge District is slowly becoming an academic power house after getting improved Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examination (UACE) results.
According to the Headteacher, Yafesi Karuhogo Ntungwa, the school got one student who scored 19 points, and another who got 16 points, 3 got 15 points, 7 got 14 points, 7 got 13 points while 5 got 12 points and 13 got 11 points while 10 got 10 points.
Karuhogo said that this performance is an improved version of 2023 where they had only 36 candidates who got between 10 and 18 points.
Karuhogo said that in the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate Examinations, the school managed to get a student Aliheihi Confort who scored 19 points becoming one of the best in the country and in Kamwenge, while in 2023, the best had 18 points.
In overall performance, Kyabenda SSS was 4th in the District after Biguli SSS, St Thomas Aquinos College and Green Hill High School.
