A Level students of Kyabenda Secondary School in Kamwenge District

NEWS- Kyabenda Senior Secondary school in Kamwenge District in Tooro Sub-region has emerged from its shadows and posted impressive 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examination Results.

According to the Headteacher Kyabenda SSS, Yafesi Karuhogo Ntungwa, the results from last year examination in both O Level and A Level has impressed the students, staff, parents and Board of Governors after many students emerged in Division One in Uganda Certificate of Education and more students got more than 14 points in Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education compared to the previous years.

In the recently released Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results, 18 students managed to get 13 points and above, 51 got between 8 and 12 points, and 26 got between 5 and 7 points, while in Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results, 30 students emerged in 1st Grade, 44 in were in 2nd Grade, and 34 were in third Grade while 41 were in 4th Grade. 

Some of the best UACE students at Kyabenda Secondary School include Orishaba Suzan who scores 18 points, Twesigye Andrew and Ainomugisha Peterson scored 17 points each, Natukunda Joan, Byaruhanga Samuel, Ainembabazi Annah and Kemigisha Emily got 16 points, Kamusiime Alice, Namanya Brendah and Kato Deogratius got 15  points while Natukunda Lovinah, Natuhurira Leonard, Ayebazibwe Veronica, Nagasha Ronnet, Muhereza Ephraim and Agaba Patrick all scored 14 points.

Karuhogo attributed the good performance to the increased effort by the staff to attend to the students and the Board of Governors immense monitoring while the students are deliberately committed to study aiming at excellence.
