NEWS– The Rubanda District Chairman Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba has cautioned men against hiding money from their wives explaining that the practice deters development at home.
Mr. Kasyaba was today speaking at the Wedding Ceremony of Mr. Ezekiel Turyabasinguzi and Promise Ayebare in Kabindi Village, Nyamiyaga Parish, Bubare Subcounty, Rubanda District.
Mr. Turyabasinguzi is son to the Kabindi Village LC.1 Chairperson Milton Tayebwa who doubles as the Chairperson of Bubare Subcounty LC.1 Chairpersons Association. The Association brings together a total of 88 village Chairpersons from Bubare Subcounty in Rubanda District.
“By the time you chose this lady to become your wife, it means you trusted her, and therefore trust her with your money too if you want to develop your home,” Chairman Kasyaba told the Bride Groom.
However, Kasyaba also cautioned women against trying to prevent their husbands from sharing part of their earnings with other members of the community. He argued that sharing generates “social capital,” which is important for the future of each member of a given society.

On the same event, the Bubare Town Council LC.5 Councilor Obed Mutatiina Kitabutuka revealed that a piped water project for the residents of Nyamiyaga and Kashenyi parishes was going on, following strategic lobbying from the area Mp and State Minister of Finance, Henry Musasizi. He explained that Construction of the Water Tank for the same project had been built in Rwere Cell.

While Speaking recently at Nyamiyaga Church of Uganda, Minister Musasizi also revealed that Government was planning to roll out a mega water project covering areas of Nangara Parish in Nyamweru Sub county, as well Kagarama and Kibuzigye parishes in Greater Bubare Sub county.
He stated that the project would cost up to Ugx 72 billion, and part of the money would be used to also extend clean water to some areas of Bugarama parish in Buhara Sub County, Kabale District.
Musasizi revealed that all the paper work had been completed and the Government was looking for the money to fund the project.
