NEWS- Members of Rukungiri district Media practitioners association RDMPA have received goats to enhance their personal development.
This was in a mega event that occurred on Sunday 1st September 2024 at Hotel Rukungiri in located in Rukungiri municipality.
Isaac Bernard Tushabe the Rukungiri district Media practitioners’ association chairman called upon Media practitioners to avoid dependency and instead be self-independent economically.
He emphasized the idea of uniting journalists and working together for a common goal. Boaz Rutera encouraged media practitioners to aim at multiplying what has been given to them.
Rutera asked journalists to always be hands on and design desire road maps for their lives.
Hon. Naboth Namanya, the Rubabo county legislator urged journalists to have side income businesses stressing that they have the platform to make their businesses and excel.
Namanya advised the journalists to make thorough research about problems people in their communities face and turn them into business ideas as they also be part of the solutions.
Kansiime Boaz Matiita who was the chief guest emphasized discipline, setting objectives, mindset change among the media practitioners if they are to successfully execute their duties.
Kansiime also asked media practitioners to develop their career, be creative and adapt to every situation. He called for transparency among the leaders and all members of the association if they are to develop.
