NEWS– The President of National Unity Platform Robert Kyagulanyi has written to the Deputy President of the Party for Central Region Hon Mathias Mpuuga telling him that the party has suspended him from his position as Parliamentary Commissioner.
In a letter signed by Kyagulanyi dated March 27th which our reporter has a copy, Kyagulanyi said that Mpuuga had failed to account for Ugx 500 million he got from Parliament which put his position in disrepute.
Kyagulanyi said that in accordance with the National Unity Platform Party Constitution Article 6.3, Mpuuga has been suspended from the position of the Commissioner of Parliament and the Position of Deputy President of Central Region as well as referring his case to the Central Executive Committee for further action.
According to political analysts, Hon Mpuuga’s book in the largest opposition party is now closed and he will have to look elsewhere to advance his political career.
