KAGADI- President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has tasked people in Kagadi district and the country at large to sack all corrupt Parish Development Sacco- PDM committee members and not to compromise on anyone messing up with this initiative.
President Museveni has tasked the populace to own the PDM initiative right from its administration to the final beneficiary and take on whoever attempts to mess up the program because this is a unique strategy intended to enrich the citizens at the grass root.
The president made the insights while addressing a public rally at Kahunde Play Ground in Isunga Sub-County Kagadi district for a public rally on his PDM assessment tour in Bunyoro Sub-region.

President Museveni has further advised the locals to worry no more about the unfair money lenders because government has already taken decisive counter measures to their exorbitant and exploitive interest rates.
The president cites among others the introduction of several social empowerment schemes like the Parish Development Model that the people can access and get funds for development as government continues to increase its funding to the scheme.

The function was graced by senior and junior government Ministers, Members of Parliament, Resident District Commissioners, local government leaders, civil servants among other dignitaries.
In a related development, Kagadi leaders praise Museveni for key ministerial positions and infrastructure development.
Leaders from Kagadi district have lauded President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for equitable leadership that has impacted their area with significant development.
These included MPs Eric Musana for Buyaga East, Barnabas Tinkasimire for Buyaga West constituency and Jenipher Mbabazi, the Kagadi district woman MP praised the NRM government for the significant infrastructure developments and other services extended to the Bunyoro sub-region.
They expressed the appreciation on Friday afternoon at Kahunde play ground in Isunga Sub-County during the president’s Parish Development Model assessment tour in Bunyoro Sub region.
The Kagadi district woman MP Janepher Kyomuhendo Mbabazi cites among others the improved road network, revived Health centers on top of the availed ambulance services, free primary and Secondary education, effective distribution of electricity and others.

The Buyaga East MP Eric Musana asked President Yoweri Museven to refurbish the historical Isunga police station, and tarmac Isunga-Kyanaisoke-Bugwara -Kikwaaya and Muhooro-Ndaiga roads respectively to boost regional connectivity and support economic growth.
He further asked president Museven to fulfill his 300M shillings pledge to the Birembo war veterans Sacco, also asked government to clear the arrears for the nursery bed operators who supplied coffee seedlings to the government.

The Buyaga West MP Barnabas Tinkasimire thanked president Museveni for appointing leaders from Bunyoro into key government positions that has positioned their region strategically.
He also reechoed other leaders’ appeal asking president Museveni to consider tarmacking Muhooro-Ndaiga road and two stretches connecting to Kamusegu tea factory and Kobushera trading center in Mpeefu Sub-County to boost trade activities and open access to neighboring DR Congo markets.

In response, president Museveni directed the state House comptroller Jane Barekye to start on the process of erecting a new police station at Isunga Sub-County headquarters in Kagadi district as requested for by the people of Kagadi.
The president has also directed the state house comptroller to deliver his 300M shillings pledge to Birembo war veterans among other donations and pledges he has fulfilled to the people of Kagadi and Bunyoro sub-region.
