KAMPALA-  Uganda is a cradle for great talent especially in the music industry and other spheres. This is very evident because year in year out , we are having new music bangers dominating the air waves in the country  with some crossing  borders.

All this is a great step in the right direction and it is our responsibility to promote our artists that are born  and bred in the country.

Over the weekend,  Achi hosted his music fans for a listeners performance which was aptly titled ” A Date with Achi” at Fashion Clinik along Bombo Road.

The event had a sizeable number of  people that were invited so that they could enjoy his creative performances full of personal encounters.

The guests checked in  slightly before 6pm which was the starting time for the  event.

The decoration was elegant  and simple with a rustic but modern- African tradition touch.

Slightly a few minutes most of the guests had arrived ,the man of the day rocked the stage from the back  clad in white pants and snickers, a camouflage  top  and off course celebrity  shades with a guitar stripped around  his trunk.

” Beera N’ekisa”   was his first song and by  all odds it was a perfect choice for a grand entry  starter  due to its melodious  lyrics and great sound.

Achi did other songs such as  ” Nyangoma ” that praised a beautiful twin lady that had won his heart, “Dole y’omwana” a great master piece that was done by the legendary  Fred Sebatta Dole y’omwana, “Ekibobo” rendition  , one of the old tales, ” Kamunguluze”  that  echoed the love  he had   for a charming lady but she was  not reciprocating.

At some point in time, to relate to the prevailing situation at hand and create that cheerful banter moment.

He pulled off  a “meme ” about new years resolutions since we are in the middle of the year.

Achi later  got  on stage for his last set that as the final bend of the show with “Balikowa” , which narrated the story of village  boy who had a rough  share of the city the first time he came through.

“Ntawa”  also come to  to play and was the last performance for the night.
