NEWS– Following the Retirement of several clergy in North Kigezi and Kinkizi Dioceses after clocking the retirement age of 65 as per the church of uganda constitution.
Today these dioceses are set to hold their Diocesan council meeting which may make different transfers and promotions of clergy Like replacement of several Archdeacons who recently retired from active service .
In North Kigezi diocese, Three Archdeacons retired , they includeed Rev. Canon James Busingye who worked at Kasheyi Archdeaconary ,Ven canon Elias Mbangi of Bugangari Archdeaconry , Ven Can Elidard Kashanje of Nyakagyeme Archdeaconry and other clergy .
These archdeaconaries are expecting new archdeacons today before the end of the day as the Diocesan council meeting is on going already at Emmanuel Cathedral Kinyasano in Rukungiri district chaired by the Diocesan Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe.
Relatedly the diocese of Kinkizi also is slated to transfer clergy today and Nyamirama and Nyakinoni Archdeaconaries are expected to get new Archdeacons following the rating of Ven Enos Mukombe and ven Birohozo.
