NEWS– The National Resistance Movement Party Deputy Treasurer Hon Jacqueline Kyatuheire has urged muslim youth to have a vision and work hard towards achieving their targets.

Hon Kyatuheire made the remarks December on Sunday 17th December 2023, while speaking at the First Muslim Youth Conference that was organised by the Kinkizi West Uganda Muslim Supreme Council which took place at Kinyanshohera Primary School in Kihihi Town Council in Kanungu District.

Hon Kyatuheire asked the youth to remain focused as they peruse to complete their education cycle and also join the government poverty alleviation programs like the Youth Livelihood Program in order to start early enough to contribute to national development.

Hon Kyatuheire also asked the Youth to become vanguard of fighting against corruption which has become a thorn in society and said that if it’s not fought it will tear apart the the entire country.

She also advised the Youth to join the environmental protection campaign by planting trees and preaching against the wetlands degradation because the vice will destroy the country future generations and pledged a donation of 14 goats to the Youth and Ugx 2 million to start a viable project to benefit them.

The Organisers of the Conference headed by the Kihihi Central Ward Councillor Zaid Iraguha said that about 230 youth from 14 Mosques in Kinkizi West attended the event which was organised under the theme, “Muslim Youth Participation in Paverty Alleviation.

While speaking as a key note guest speaker at the same event, Kanungu District Principal Education Officer Shaban Adam asked the youth to have a positive mindset that will lead them to succeed in their communities.

Shaban Adam said that the youth can change their lives for better by adopting virtues that can transform their communities using the available resources they have without waiting for begging from others.

The Conference was also addressed by the District Khadhi Sheikh Abdullah Mpabuka, who called on the Muslim Youth to remain focused since they are the future leaders the Chairman of Uganda Muslim Supreme Council Kanungu District Sheikh Abdullah Nzigira who asked them to use the available opportunities in the digital information era to learn more about their lives and transform their lives.
