Rose Atuhire, Deputy Resident District Commissioner of Ntungamo District, has been recognized for her outstanding community outreach and active promotion of government programs during the last term of government, commonly known as the last kisanja

Atuhire was ranked number six out of 10 Deputy RDCs countrywide who served and performed exceptionally well, according to assessments by local leaders and government supervisors.

Local leaders describe her as accessible, disciplined, and effective in engaging wananchi on issues affecting service delivery and socio-economic transformation. They say her consistent grassroots mobilization helped make government programs more visible and understandable to ordinary citizens.

“Deputy RDC Atuhire doesn’t just talk about transformation — she works with the people to make it happen,” one local leader noted. “Her approach bridged the gap between government and the community.”

Her work focused on ensuring government initiatives reached the grassroots and improved livelihoods across Ntungamo. By keeping communities informed and involved, she became a trusted voice on development and accountability.

The ranking highlights the key role played by Deputy RDCs in monitoring service delivery and supporting Uganda’s development agenda at district level.
