The National Unity Platform principal Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine while canvasing support in Ntungamo district at Rukiri play ground in outskirts of Rubaare town council, vowed to fight naked promises that has been a slogan in Uganda where the party rulling government National Resistance Movement headed by the incumbent president Museveni also the party flag bearer has continued to lie on public for four decades.
Mr Kyagulanyi who was accompanied by his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi Itungo were warmly welcomed in different part of Ntungamo district and it overwhelmed the ruling government despite pressure from police, UPDF that thwarted him from campaigning in urban centres.
The leader of the main opposition Mr Kyagulanyi promised that when his party elected to head the state house will improve on the status of health facilities by rehabilitating those that are in dire state, enough drugs will be there and will make sure that every facility has enough staff.
”I am aware that even the few drugs in hospitals some are fake and are being given to innocent people of Uganda”. Kyagulanyi said.
He also said will fight corruption which has been chronic disease in Uganda where innocent people are suffering in the expense of those that in office to fill their stomachs. Also said political prisoners and others that incarcerated in prisons will be released like Edward Sebufu his body guard, Dr Kiiza Besigye the four time presidential candidate and his aid Obeid Lutale among others.
The Ntungamo son in law Kyagulanyi said Museveni has failed to fight segregation, tribalism and nepotism in Uganda and that when he is elected in power will fight all those ailments.
On Unification of countries NUP president said will bring all countries to work together in terms of trade for world economy growth.
Mrs Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi who is born in Rubaare town council, Rushenyi Ntungamo while canvasing support for her husband said as they were on the way coming were told that some of their supporters were a donation meeting led by Peace Rugambwa donating the amandazi and sodas not to attend their rally. She if the money to them they eat it but when it comes to voting time they vote accordingly to secure the country from the arms of liers.
Others that accompanied him were Joel Ssenyonyi, Bright Muhumuza the NUP coordinator Ankole region, David Lubongoya the party Secretary, Benjamin Katana party treasurer, Luwanga Kivumbi, Godwin Rubahama Ntungamo municipality aspirant on NUP, Oscar Kamugira Kentono aspirant Rushenyi county on NUP ticket and Isma Kalyango Ntungamo NUP coordinator also councilor aspirant for Kagango ward on NUP ticket.
