The Police in Kabale are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified male adult, whose body was recovered in the bush at Omunturo village in Nyakasharara Parish Kaharo Sub-county
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate told journalists that it’s alleged that the deceased unidentified man was earlier yesterday found walking alone in Nyanja by the area LC 1 Chairman Twinomugusha Silver and he decided to take him to Nyanja Police Post and the officers at the said post tried to ask him about his particulars but he refused to reveal to them and he just moved away.
However, later in the evening his lifeless body was discovered with bruises lying in the bushes at Omunturo village near a river by herdsmen, suspected to have been killed by yet to be identified persons.
The matter was reported at Nyanja Police Post and later Kabale Central Police Station to investigate the unfortunate incident and scene of crime was visited by a team of Police Officers from Kabale who processed, examined and documented and recorded statements from witnesses and the body was retrieved from the crime scene and conveyed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.
Maate said that currently inquiries ongoing, and anyone missing the dear one should visit the Hospital Mortuary, so that the deceased is identified and taken for a decent burial.
