Museveni accompanied by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni arrives at Entebbe Municipality Playgrounds

The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has listed several wealth and job creation packages.    propelled by the NRM government for residents of Wakiso district in vast sectors with assurances for further funding opportunities as he rallied for votes in the forthcoming general elections.

While campaigning at Entebbe Municipality Play Grounds in Wakiso District, President Museveni pointed out that these include skills and artisanship, Smart Eco Factories, Fish Processing factories, Peri-Urban Agriculture Tourism, Real Estate development and Tourism among others.

Candidate Museveni noted that residents of Wakiso District have immense opportunities in the above mentioned sectors to harness both welath and job opportunities to cater for the booming population across the district.

President Museveni called on resisdents of Wakiso district to take advantage of the job opportunities in the planned development aspects for Wakiso district in industries, peri commercial agriculture, services including tourism, skill and artisanship. 

Hei noted that the NRM government has ably laid a stable foundation in different sectors employing millions of Ugandans and challenged residents of Wakiso district to equally take advantage for job opportunities in those initiatives and confirmed plans to establish regional wealth creation funds for yet unreached sectors of the Economy with specific funding schemes and tasked the people to monitor and follow up on the utilisation of the planned funds.

He said that the plan includes the integration of leaders, fishing communities, Ghettos, Market vendors and other sectors with additional funding schemes including the increase of PDM funds to Ugx 300 million per Parish and tasked Wakiso district resisdents to keenly monitor the utilisation of the planned funds to attain the intended objectives.

President Museveni told the Parish Development Model beneficiaries in Wakiso District to own up the program at their respective Parishes as a counter measure to corrupt PDM officials 

He assured the residents of Entebbe Municipality and Wakiso District of the government plans to promptly complete construction works for Kisubi – Nakawuka – Mpigi road, Nakawuka – Nateete road and several other ongoing road construction projects accross the district to improve mobility and bussiness operations.

Candidate Museveni cautioned the electorate against opportunistic opposition politicians who he says constantly frustrated development programs and rallies them to vote for NRM Flag bearers to ease the follow up on government programs.

While speaking at the same event, the First Lady Maama Janet Kataha Museveni attributed the immense developmental achievements for Entebe and Wakiso district to the NRM’s strategic approach founded on peace and stability as he she reminded them to never forget how far the NRM government has brought Uganda forward.

The NRM first National Vice Chairperson Alhaji Moses Kigongo tasked the NRM fraternity in Entebbe Municipality and Wakiso District to scaleup mobilization efforts for the party at the grassroot for a resounding win in the forthcoming general polls and reminded NRM carders on discipline and respect for each other during and after campaigns

The NRM second National Vice Chairperson female Rt Hon Anita Among mentions several additional development initiatives underway in Wakiso District fostered by the NRM government that include the Ugx 35 billion Lubugumu – Busabala road project, the Ugx 15.5 Billion Kitoolo – Kawuku road project, the Ugc 23 billion Entebbe – Nakiwogo road and the planned bridge at the same location and rallied the voters in Entebbe Municipality and Wakiso District at large to vote for NRM for more development interventions in the area 

The NRM second National Vice Chairperson female Anita Among further mentions the 72 kilometer Mpigi – Nakawuka – Nateete road, the second second phase for the expansion of Entebe International Airport that has granted immense job opportunities to residents and proposed a wealth fund for youths.

Rt Hon Among noted that earlier government interventions to stop the disaster where interfered with by the endless politicking by area opposition politicians who buy sympathy from anarchy and immortality like the promotion of homosexuality 

She has rallied the electorate of Entebbe Municipality and Wakiso District to avoid committing previous mistakes of voting for opposition politicians because they have been insignificant to their areas and has recommended NRM candidates as the ultimate solution
