Large crowds of NRM supporters turned up to listen to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is considering to establish an independent youth Parish wealth fund separate from the Parish Development Model that binds all categories of people following several complaints from Youths on their share of PDM funds and collision with other beneficiary groups.

While addressing a rally in Kawempe Division – Kampala Capital City President Museveni noted that the NRM government’s wealth creation plans are intended for all youths in their respective parishes and plans to adjust the administration of the PDM scheme are being considered in his next term of office 

Candidate Museveni directed the Parish Development Model secretariate and line Minister of Local Government Hon Raphael Magyezi to review the election of contested PDM committee leaders in Kawempe Division and take necessary action.

The directive includes apprehending Parish Development Model committee leaders who have been pinned for stealing funds, sacking irregularly elected committee members and hearing of complaints about the operationalization of PDM funds in Kawempe Division and noted that although the PDM initiative has immense success stories, the few gaps in its administration must be addressed for the initiative to excel.

President Museveni guided the youths and the entire population in Kawempe Division in Kampala Capital City to harness wealth and job opportunities in the Agricultural value chains, manufacturing, artisanship and the services sector and highlighted jobs and wealth creation opportunities in different sectors with examples of success stories to emulate by intending wealth creators in the Division.

He rallied the people of Kawempe Division in Kampala Capital City to ensure proper commercial agriculture enterprise selection including the uptake of peri urban agriculture for welath creation with examples of viable commercial enterprises.

The First Lady Maama Jannet Kataha Museveni who accompanied the President asked youths in Kawempe Division in Kampala Capital City to make their mark on Uganda’s future by engaging in constructive activities that contribute to Uganda’s development as they remember how far the NRM government has brought Uganda.

Mrs Museveni rallied the electorate of Kawempe Division in Kampala Capital City to vote for NRM Flag bearers at all levels for further quality service delivery and socioeconomic transformation and development.

While speak8ng at the same event, the NRM first National Vice Chairperson Alhaji Moses Kigongo has called on NRM carders on Kawempe Division to intensify grassroot mobilization efforts for all party candidates to win the forthcoming general elections 

The NRM 2nd National vice Chairperson female Rt Hon Anita Among highlights several development initiatives for Kawempe Division in health and roads infrastructure among others.
