NEWS– President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is scheduled to attend the inaugural Presidential Investors Conference that will take place on Thursday November 29th 2023, at Kololo Independence Ceremonial Grounds where he will meet face-to-face with over 5,000 investors from across the country.

According to Uganda Investment Authority Chairman Morrison Rwakakamba, the Conference is being organised in collaboration with State House and the Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development.

“The Presidential Investors Conference is unique and one-of-a-kind event where Uganda’s Chief Investment Promoter President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will meet face-to-face with the investors” Rwakakamba said.

While addressing journalists at the Uganda Media Centre today, Rwakakamba said that the President will not only interact with the investors but also listen to them and discuss pertinent issues all aimed at boosting investment and doing business in Uganda.

Rwakakamba revealed that other key players and stakeholders like the Private Sector Foundation Uganda, the Uganda Manufacturers Association, Uganda Small Scale Industries Association, Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises and ICT Association of Uganda will participate.

He said that the Presidential Investors Conference is expected to lead to a better environment for investment and business and strengthen Uganda’s position as the best investment destination in Africa.

Earlier the Minister of State for Investment and Privatization Hon Evelyn Anite unveiled ambitious plans to propel Uganda’s economic growth through the upcoming Presidential Investors Conference.

The Minister addressed critical investment issues and operational challenges faced by businesses in the country with a call to businesses across Uganda to participate in a groundbreaking presentation the Presidential Investors Conference scheduled for the November 29th 2023.

Minister Anite said that the up coming conference is not just an ordinary event but a game-changer and mphasized the unique platform it offers for businesses to address and tackle challenges collectively.

Minister Annite urged businesses to formalize their operations, ensuring a legal entity status for attendance and said that the Conference aims to focus on key sectors such as commercial agriculture, manufacturing and ICT.

The Minister’s comprehensive approach outlined sector-specific conferences and emphased the importance of addressing the diverse needs of investors particularly the significance of the ICT sector.
