Missing woman Kisakiyiika

NEWS– The Kampala Metropolitan Police area have mounted a search for a pharmacist and cryptocurrency dealer Pearl Wendy Kisakiyiika Mufubenga Mubiru who went missing on Friday.

Reports obtained by our news desk indicate that Kisakiyiika reportedly disappeared after speaking with her husband, Joel Mubiru, at 2:30 pm on Friday, July 12, 2024, while she was at Workers House in Kampala.

According to the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesman ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the urgency of the situation escalated when social media was flooded with Mubiru’s urgent plea for assistance in locating his wife.

It is said that the couple that got married on September 24, 2022, is described as having enjoyed a harmonious relationship.

Mubiru reported a sleepless night on Friday, anxiously waiting for his wife to return home. By 11:00 pm, with no sign of his wife, he filed a missing person report at Kabalagala Police Station.

Mubiru recounted the sequence of events as he narrated to the press.

“When her phones went off, I called my mother-in-law, who said she had spoken to my wife earlier in the day but had not heard from her since Friday afternoon,” Mubiru explained.

“I waited around Nsambya as it has been our routine until 11:00 pm, but she never showed up. I then returned home to Buziga,” said Mubiru who added that they have enjoyed a harmonious relationship since their wedding.

The Police investigation is focusing on whether she encountered any unusual circumstances or individuals during her time at Workers House and her subsequent journey.

Kabalagala Police have confirmed that they have started intensively probing the matter registered under SD Ref 70/13/07/2024.

The Police confirmed that they are coordinating with various agencies to gather more information and are urging anyone with relevant details to come forward.
