NEWS- The Rubanda Resident District Commissioner Eric Ssewandigi hasĀ hailed the Rubanda District top Leadership for the unmatched performance in this term of performance, following a number of projects that have been commissioned this term.
“Let no one deceive you. This is not happening everywhere across the country. For example in Lyantonde where I come from, the project commissioning is not at this rate. Let the Rubanda District leaders get the credit they deserve. They have earned it” RDC Ssewandigi noted.
The Resident District Commissioner made the remarks yesterday while speaking the commissioning of a Multipurpose Hall at St Charles Lwanga Secondary School that cost Ugx 250 million.
Head Teachers Odeith Ampeire (St. John’s S.S Ikumba) and Monday Fidelis (Kibuzigye S.s) also attended the Project Commissioning Ceremony at St.Charled Lwanga S.S.
The completion of the Multipurpose Hall at St Charles Lwanga SSS comes at a time when Rubanda District has also completed of two students dormitories at St John’s S.S has received two Dormitories that cost Ugx 300 million due to the good leadership of Chairman Steven Kasyaba’s administration while Government is also constructing buildings worth over Ugx 3 billion at Kibuzigye Seed Secondary School.
While speaking at the same event, Rubanda District LC 5 Chairman, Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba, revealed that the first-ever Rubanda District Hospital, located in Kamugongo in Rubanda West in Muko Sub-county, will be operational starting July 1st 2025.
Chairman Kasyaba confirmed that the Central government has already allocated funds for paying medical staff salaries.
āI want to assure the people of Rubanda that our District Hospital will be up and running starting July 1st, 2025, because the funds are already secured to run the facility,ā Kasyaba stated.
He also revealed that the UPDF Engineering Brigade, which is overseeing the hospitalās construction, has assured them that the work worth Ugx 18.5 billion will be completed on time.
With the Rubanda hospitalās opening on the horizon, the residents can look forward to improved healthcare services, marking a significant milestone for the development district.
