The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Anita Among has drummed Ugandans of goodwill to contribute generously and participate in the upcoming 15th edition of the Rotary Cancer Run.
While officially launching this year’s Cancer Run at Nsambya Hospital today, Speaker Among said the cancer surge in Uganda requires a collective effort from corporate bodies, citizens and well-wishers.
Speaker Among callex upon Ugandans to participate in the 15th edition of the Rotary Cancer Run saying that the run will restore hope for our people.
Every year, Parliament contributes towards this noble Rotary cancer programme and from 2012 to date, the institution alone has contributed a total of Ugx 7.2 billion, making them one of the biggest contributing partners and this year, Parliament has contributed Ugx 3 billion.
The 2026 Cancer Run is scheduled for 30th August 2026 at Kololo Independence Grounds under the theme “Gwanga Mujje.”
