NTUNGAMO- Students in institutions of higher learning have been encouraged to join the army as the only greatest way to serve the country as patriots.
According to the UPDF officer under CMI based in Mbarara City Lt Ronald Ngabirano serving in the army has many opportunities in developing and shaping one’s career especially the young people.
He also noted that the finalists in the technical section have high chances of joining the engineering brigade of UPDF and thanked RAP Tech Institute for nurturing Ugandans wishing it to turn into a University.
Lt Ngabirano made remarks on Friday as chief guest during the welcoming, farewell and end of the year party at RAP Tech Institute of Business and Technology in Nyamisha Ntungamo Municipality.
Lt Ngabirano who is also an old student and his wife commended the director of RAP Tech Institute of Business and Technology Aijuka Rodgers resilience and perseverance to make the institute with good ambassadors in many organizations across the country.
The director of RAP Tech Institute of Business and Technology Aijuka Rodgers urged all students to be focused and consistent if they are to uphold the treasure of education and succeed in life.
Aijuka Rodgers thanked the staff and students for the cooperation and parents who entrusted them with their children to join the institute.
He revealed that 18 candidates from the Technical section will be finalizing their studies this month.
The Human Resource Mugume Danson Kamaanda tasked the students to be patient and professional as they go out for construction in order to be entrusted.
Other speakers were Taremwa Ivan, one of the finalists and Own Barekye, who represented freshers.
