NEW- The Police in Mitooma district are hunting for a 20 year old man who allegedly murdered his biological elder brother.
The suspect is Kuribihwa Brian, 20 year old mukiga boda – boda rider and a resident of Mayanga D village in Mitooma district who murdered Tumuhimbise Venensio 22 of the same residence.
It’s alleged that on 13th March 2024 at around 10pm, the deceased came back home when his mother had already slept. The deceased who was living in the same house with the mother attempted to wake her up but she could not.
It’s from that point when he went and called his brother (suspect) and he opened, the deceased tasked the suspect to wake up their mother, the command he refused leading to a quarrel and a fight causing the deceased numerous injuries on the face and forehead until on the following day at around 4pm when he was pronounced dead.
Police were notified, they visited the scene, recorded some statements and the body of the deceased was taken to Mitooma Health Centre IV for postmortem examination.
The Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusime confirmed this incident to our reporter revealing that Police is tracing for the suspect and inquiries into the matter continue.
