KABALE- The Uganda College of Commerce Kabale conducted a cleanup exercise in Kabale municipality on April 3rd, 2024, as part of its preparations for the upcoming Alumni Convention, scheduled for this Saturday.
The convention aims to bring together alumni, staff, and students to reconnect and give back to the institution. This year’s event has a specific focus: raising funds for two key initiatives.
Firstly, UCC Kabale seeks to upgrade its computer facilities to provide students with access to modern technology and enhance their learning experience.
Secondly, the institution plans to establish an incubation hub to equip students with practical, hands-on skills, preparing them for the workforce and entrepreneurship.
Speaking to our reporter during the cleanup exercise in Kabale town, Mr. Benard Nuwagira said that they have partnered with the Rotary Club of Bunyonyi to clean up Kabale municipality as one of the events leading up to the Saturday event, which marks 42 years of anniversary and the Alumni Convention.
The Kabale municipality deputy mayor, Mrs. Kedres Mutabazi, lauded Uganda College of Commerce Kabale for cleaning up Kabale Municipality, calling upon other institutions to emulate the example set by the Uganda College of Commerce Kabale.
