In their statement on their official X handle (formerly twitter), the Board noted that they were unaware of the source of information that alleged the release of these exams on Friday January 17th 2025.
“Our attention has been drawn to a fake message circulating on social media that the 2024 PLE results will be released on Friday 17th January, 2025” UNEB posted on their official X handle.
In the same post, they asked the public to disregard the information stressing that an official date will be communicated at the right time.
“Kindly ignore and disregard it. An official date for the release will be communicated at the right time” added UNEB.
Once the dates are set, the results will reveal the performance of over 700,000 candidates who sat for the examinations in November 2024, marking a significant milestone for students transitioning to secondary education.
In addition, students, parents, and educators will be able to access the results via Short Message Services (SMS) on mobile networks, providing instant access to individual results.
The release of the PLE results normally comes ahead of the new academic calendar year, which is set to begin in February 2025.
UNEB officials have assured the public that the examination process was conducted fairly and transparently, with all necessary measures in place to ensure the integrity of the results.
The PLE results are a critical indicator of a student’s readiness to transition to secondary education, and the release of the results is highly anticipated by stakeholders in the education sector.
