SHEEMA- The police in Sheema district are investigating circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of a 20 year Old man.
The deceased is Kimbugwe Muhamudu, 22 year old Muganda casual worker at Mr Apollo’s home, born and raised in Nekoyede cell, Namariga ward, Nakifuma Town council in Mukono district.
His sudden death occurred at unknown time of 14th January 2024 at unknown time and was reported to police by his farm manager Muhimbise Godfrey a resident of Rutooma cell, Rutooma ward, Kitagata Town council in Sheema district.
It is said that on 13th January 2024 during the night, the deceased was in Rutooma Trading Center drinking alcohol up to around midnight when he went to his boss’s home while drunk and slept. On 14th morning, he did not wake up prompting his manager Tumuhaise Godfrey to check on him, and he found him dead.
By the time this publication got information, a team of homicide police detectives, soco had visited the scene, documented it, recorded some statements to assist in investigations and the body of the deceased was taken to Kitagata Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
The body of the deceased was found in his living room lying on spine, dressed in a pair of blue jeans without body injuries, with an empty mineral water bottle smelling waragi was found near the deceased’s bed.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesman SSP Martial Tumusiime confirmed the incident to the press stressing that inquiries into the matter are still at hand.
