In his response, Minister Barugahara assured Parliament that efforts were underway to secure their release and that President Museveni would address the nation on the matter during the concluded International Youth Day.

However, President Museveni has yet to address the issue, leading Nambooze to accuse Minister Barugahara of hoodwinking MPs.
