A WhatsApp Group, Kebisoni Tukundane Association (KTA), has once again come on positive spotlight and donated 3 Solar powered lights to Kebisoni Town Council which have been installed in different previous dark places in the town.
The donation worth millions of shillings is the second of its kind to be donated by the Kebisoni Tukundane Association which brings together people born, working, married and live in Greater Kebisoni following the 3 Solar Powered Lights they donated last year.
While speaking at the handover ceremony, the Chairperson of the Project Implementation Committee Paul Rukundo Rwabihurwa, who is also the Rukungiri NRM Secretary who represented the Association Chairman Emmy Mugagga, said that the Association is non partisan and is committed to ensure that it’s projects leave a lasting impression on the community.
Rukundo Rwabihurwa said that each year, the Association which has been duly registered at the District as a Community Based Organization (CBO) will continue partnership with Kebisoni Town Council and Kebisoni Sub-county to identify community needs where they can channel deserving support.
He thanked Kebisoni Town Council Leadership who accepted the Association desire to donate the Solar Powered Lights and hoped that they will ensure that the lights are well secured from vandalism and also expressed appreciation to all members who contributed what they could to ensure that the project became a success.
Kebisoni Town Clerk Ms Adrine Keshaha hailed Kebisoni Tukundane Association for coming up with the initiative of lighting up the Town Centre with Solar light saying that this will go a long way in providing security in the Community.

While speaking at the function, Secretary for Finance and Administration Councillor Richard Biryomumeisho Karani who represented the Town Council Chairperson Alex Nathan Mugabe thanked the people of Kebisoni who have decided to come together to contribute to the development of their community saying that the initiative signify unity and togetherness and urged all people to join the Association.
