NEWS- The Police in Rubanda district are investigating circumstances that led to a serious accident that left four people injured.
According to ASP Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesman, the accident registered under reference number TAR.005/2023 occurred on 22nd January 2024 at around 2:22pm at Rwabinyindo in Muko Sub County, Rubanda District.
It is believed that the driver of Motor vehicle UBA 144l Fuso Fighter failed to negotiate the corner and caused the vehicle to fall in the trench. As a result, three victims were rushed to Muko Health center as the forth one who is suspected to be the owner of the property was rushed to Kabale Hospital for further management.
Maate identified the victims as Sauna Joseph 19 year old Muganda resident of Kyotera, Nicholas Ssendibwa male aged 29, muganda resident of Kyotera who was driving the fuso, Ssemakura Fredrick, 22 year resident of Kyotera and Mugambo, as 27 year old resident Rubare.
Scene was controlled, a rough sketch plan was drawn motorvehicle was towed and parked at police pending IOV inspection as more inquiries are at hand.
