The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has directed the Minister for Luwero Triangle Minister Hon Alice Kaboyo to fast track the scale up of water distribution efforts in Kassanda District as he attributes the delays to opposition leaders in the district who deliberately frustrate government plans.
There are 150 villages out of 210 are pending on water distribution efforts in Kassanda District President Museveni has committed to address soon as the electorate also vote for ideologically aligned NRM flag bearers.
While addressing a campaign rally at Bukuya Town Council Grounds in Kassanda District President Museveni also confirmed electricity extension to the 3 pending Sub counties in Kassanda District and said that tge government is committed to construct additional Schools and Heath Centers in Kassanda District to match up to the increasing population in the area.
Kassanda District currently 100 government Primary schools and 13 government Secondary Schools to which President Museveni has promised to supplement with additional schools on addition 3 Sub-counties are planned for new Health Centers IIIs.
Candidate Museveni said that the NRM Party’s broad based approach to leadership has ensured the inclusion and participation of all people as seen through the affirmative action initiatives and explained that his approach to political matters has delivered long lasting peace and stability in the country in which the thriving development is anchored.
President Museveni applauded the people of Kassanda District for braving the heavy downpour and turning up for today’s campaign rally in multitudes, a sign of great support for him and the NRM party.
He rallied the people of Kassanda District to intensify wealth creation activities at individual and household levels for socioeconomic transformation with examples of success stories to emulate the cause and guided on the implementation of the 4 acre model initiative and viable commercial enterprises for intending wealth creators.
The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate promised to carry out an audit into the disbursement of Parish Development Model funds in Kassanda District to address complaints of soliciting and charges raised by the people of against implementers of the initiative and guided the people on viable job opportunities in sectors including commercial agriculture, manufacturing, service and ICT and promised to scale up skilling opportunities.
While speaking at the same event, the NRM Vice Chairperson for Central Region Hon Haruna Kasoro emphasized major development interventions made in the Kassanda District and emphasized areas of emphasis for further development as presented in the District Status Report and Memorandum by Chairperson Micheal Bukenya.
