The former deputy Attorney Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana has reminded all young people that respecting and honouring their parents are the source of blessings and wealth on the Earth.

Hon Rukutana said this yesterday during the burial of the late Elder Elivaida Batina in Muyenga Kyabukuuju Rubaare Town council Ntungamo district.

The deceased is a grandmother to Nyakato Esther, one of the wives of Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana.

He expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and praised God for her life and urged the family to keep united.

Hon Rukutana hailed all children for caring for their mother saying that a parent is ever sweet and cherished.

All children led by Salongo Sonzi and Nanjara described their mother late Elivaida Batina alias Omujungu wa Kyabukuuju as hospitable, generous and dependable which everyone should emulate.

Salongo Sonzi thanked all people for supporting them during the trying moments.

The Rushenyi county Hon Naome Kabasharira noted that the deceased was a pillar in the community.

Hon Kabasharira implored the general public to work hard instead of waiting to inherit their parents’ properties which resulted in family conflicts.

While comforting the mourners, Ven Rev Canon Yokana Nyebikira Mujungu the Archdeacon Rukanda and Ven Rev Canon Arthur Twinamatsiko noted that the deceased fought a good fight and whoever dies in Christ shall not perish but have everlasting life.

The Late Elder Elivaida Batina aged 98 left 4 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
