KASESE- Hon. Florence Kabugho, the Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament has asked primary seven candidates to be firm and consult their teachers as they prepare for the forthcoming final exams.
According to a circular from the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), Primary Leaving Examinations are slated for next week.
Now, Hon. Kabugho says being firm and consulting the teachers would be among the tools that would make the candidates excel.
She sounded the remarks today while delivering success cards, mathematical sets and pens to some primary seven candidates at schools including Kyanzuki, Basecamp, Kyempara, Nyabugando and Bwera Demonstration among across the district.
She used the same platform to warn the school going children against the practice of getting involved in acts that might force them to drop out of school. These according to her include early marriages and unwanted pregnancies, appealing to them to have clear visions, missions and objectives as to why they are in school.
Livenia Masika, the Deputy Head teacher at Kyanzuki Primary School hailed the legislator for the initiative, describing it as an encouragement to make the learners pass with flying colours.
Some of the beneficiaries including Daphine Masika and Edrine Kabugho from Kyempara Primary School appreciated the donation and pledged to work hard in an attempt to register success.
