The Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkiizi Rt Rev Dan Zoreka has hailed the management and staff of Nyakinoni Secondary School for spearheading holistic education which has imparted skills to students that can help them overcome daily challenges.
Bishop Zoreka made the remarks yesterday while officiating at the Confirmation Service at Nyakinoni Secondary School which is also known as the Chinese Campus where 42 students were confirmed in the Anglican Church.
Bishop Zoreka called for perseverance and patience amongst the students in order to become achievers in future.
Earlier the Bishop commissioned the Artificial Intelligence and Internet services at the school which he said will go a long way in helping the students to learn and also planted a tree emphasizing this year theme of environmental conservation.
The Preacher of the day Rev Loyce Ampumuza Kyomugasho asked the students to aim higher by not getting tired of doing good saying that it’s only patience that will see them overcome challenges they face.
The Headteacher Dan Byabashaija thanked the Bishop for the support he has been extending to the school and the government of Uganda for ensuring that there is a good learning environment for the students.
The Chairperson of the Board of Governors Peter Mugisha Izaara hailed the relationship between the Foundation Body and the school and said that they decided to honor the former Prime Minister Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi for twinning the school with China which has greatly benefited the school and the current Headteacher Dan Byabasheija for steering the school.
Nyakinoni Secondary School located in Nyakinoni Sub-county in Kanungu District is a Mixed Day and Boarding school and has a total of 1,440 students drawn from all over the country is is well known for excellence in academics, co curricular activities, debating and scouting.
